Although best known for his riding career - and a featured role playing himself in the 1985 film "Lighting the White Stallion" - Rob Gage has gained equally as much fame as a coach. His students have won over 30 different Equitation Medal Finals, including two USET Finals championships. He has also sent students to Young Riders Championships from 4 different zones, several returning as individual medalists. Rob is proud that many of his former students are now professional horse riders and coaches in their own right. No matter how much time passes, Rob's students remark that he is the coach who generates unprecedented competitive fire within them, inspiring a desire to win that has indelibly intensified their love of the sport and confidence as riders.
Rob is currently based in Fallbrook, CA and serves as the co-founder, Judge, and Vice President of the highly popular evaluation and feedback website, Judge My Ride. He remains an "R" rated USEF judge and course designer. Through his work as a judge, clinician, and coach, Rob Gage continues to inspire generations of riders, from the highest levels of Olympic Show Jumping to grassroots equestrians.
